QC 201 Reflection Questions

Deliberation

  • Consider

    • Do you regularly take time to consider all of the facts before making a decision?

    • What is/are the source(s) of your information, and is/are the source(s) trustworthy?

    • Do you include God in your decision-making process?

  • -ATIONS

    • Identify a question or issue that you are currently facing. Ask God to guide your decision-making process.

    • Craft and answer 6W questions that could help you identify a decision.

    • Verify the validity and motivation of your source(s) for the information used.

    • Evaluate the potential impact and unintended consequences of your decision. Write them down. 

    • Discuss this activity with someone else.

Communication

  • Consider

    • Describe your information receptiveness. Do you tend to listen or receive information to understand or solely to respond?

    • How do you generally communicate information? Are there gaps or areas that you may need to improve? If so, what are they?

    • Do your communications align with who God says you are as a leader?

  • -ATIONS

    • Choose an interaction to intentionally seek to understand before responding. Reflect on the experience.

    • Using the decision previously identified, develop a communication plan to inform stakeholders. 

 

Implementation

  • Consider

    • How do you go about making requests; do you demand or compel?

    • Esther had to pivot from cancelling to countering the opposition. Do you recognize when to shift strategies?

    • Do you empower others to assist in your kingdom-building efforts or do you try to do everything yourself?

  • -ATIONS

    • Identify the resources or support you need to garner to implement your decision.

    • Identify the actions you must take to implement the decision.

    • Identify the actions you should allow others to take to implement the decision.

      • Identify what you need to do to empower others to complete their roles associated with the decision.

    • Put your plan into motion.

Celebration

  • Consider

    • How often do you pause to reflect and celebrate your accomplishments? 

    • How do you celebrate your team’s collective success?

    • Do you celebrate team members that exceed expectations? If so, how? If not, how can you?

  • -ATIONS

    • Reflect on your accomplishments from the last 30 days. Write them down. 

    • Reflect on how reading your accomplishments makes you feel and write those feelings as well.

    • Create a schedule for reviewing your accomplishments.

    • If timely and applicable, plan a celebration for your team.

    • Identify team members who have earned special accolades and celebrate them.

Documentation

  • Consider

    • How and where do you document the work associated with your accomplishments? 

    • What aspect(s) of your work in one area can be incorporated into the work of another?

    • With whom do you share the records?

  • -ATIONS

    • Review and revise the documentation available from your most recent accomplishment (If there is none, create it).

    • Share the documentation with someone else; seek their feedback on the clarity.

    • Store the documentation somewhere that others can access as needed.
